TIPP V WATERFORD TAKE TWO
After the postponement of last Sunday’s game due to the sad death of Benny Kiely, Michael’s father, the senior hurlers take on the Déise this Sunday, 15th March, in Azzurri Walsh Park at 2.00pm. This is an eagerly awaited game: a Tipp win will mean that the home team will be relegated and Tipp’s last game v Kilkenny will be meaningless in terms of league placing (though hardly meaningless in itself!) A Déise win would put everything back in the melting pot and relegation issues would still be alive in the final round. The game will be streamed by TG4 on their App and Website and shown deferred in full on TV.

SCHOOLS HURLING
Mixed results on All Ireland Semi Final day for Nenagh CBS and St Josephs Borrisoleigh last Saturday, March 3rd. Nenagh CBS were edged out by St Kierans College Kilkenny in the Croke Cup ‘A’ Semi Final by a last minute goal whilst St Josephs Borrisoleigh defeated Clonfert College, Ballinasloe by 2-18 to 2-13 in their Michael Cusack Cup ‘C’ Semi-Final. They now face Coláiste Naomh Cormac, Offaly on Friday 20th March at 2.00 pm in Borrisokane. Best of luck to them and commiserations to Nenagh CBS.
