A note of key County fixtures over the next two weeks and the important dates for Tipperary participation in the Munster Senior Hurling Championship

Please see below details for the ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC at Nenagh GC on Friday 10th May.

This is an important and fun way to support our Senior Hurling Team.

Please consider putting a team together and join the effort.

There is also an opportunity to sponsor a tee or green for which we greatly appreciate your support.

We would like to inform you of the Annual Awards function of the Tipperary Association Dublin on 27th April at Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Newlands Cross.

This is always a super night and a great opportunity to honour those who represent themselves and our County with distinction at home or abroad.

To say I was excited to be selected as the Tipperary Mascot for the Tipp V Westmeath game

in Semple Stadium was putting it mildly. I would always sit in the stands on match day

watching the team warm up and wish I could be on the field with them, thanks to Michael

and the Team at the Tipp Supports Club now it was going to be a reality and I just couldn’t

believe it!!!!!!

We parked in the Dome with our special car pass which was pretty cool and met with

Michael who gave me a bag of Tipperary Supporters Club goodies. My Nanny and the rest

of my family were brought into the VIP section of the new stand while myself and my Mam

headed over to the old stand with Michael to hang out on the side line and hopefully have a

chat with some of the players. The first man I met coming down the tunnel was Liam Cahill,

he was so nice and we had a great chat about hurling and I wished him the best for the

match. I also had a chat with some of the support team and then I was introduced to

Seamus Kennedy, our team captain. Seamus was really kind and let me sit in the team

photo and join him for the coin toss. We headed over to meet with the Ref Sean Cleere who

gave me a match sliotar and I got to meet the Westmeath captain Niall Mitchell.

I then headed off to the media box in the old stand to watch the first half, stopping off to have

a quick chat with Cathal Barrett on the way up. The view was better than I imagined in the

media box, and everyone was so nice up there. I had a half time interview with Paul Carroll

from Tipp Fm, I was a bit nervous, but Paul was sound, and we had a chat about how the

team was getting on.

We headed back over to the VIP Section in the new stand to watch the second half with my

family, I was delighted to see my photo and bio made the match programme. Tipperary put

in a great performance, and I was delighted with the victory. I would like to thank Michael

Collins from the Tipperary Supporters Club for making my dreams come true, it was such a

special opportunity and I’m very grateful to Michael for making it such a great day. I loved

every minute of my experience as team mascot!!!
